In 2019, during the “Student Swallow” competition, she reached only the Top 18, largely because of her lack of confidence. “My biggest insecurity was my low nasal bridge and undefined side profile. That made me feel less confident in front of the camera. I knew I needed to change,” Mien admitted. She began researching rhinoplasty online, but conflicting information and fear of surgical risks made her hesitant – delaying her decision for nearly two years.
Pursuing a career in television hosting – a profession that demands both charisma and on-stage presence – Moc Mien soon realized her appearance was holding her back. Despite her talent, her professional progress remained limited.
