Four Rhinoplasty Attempts Still Fell Short
When the trend of Korean artificial cartilage rhinoplasty became popular, Phương Bình followed it, hoping for a higher and more attractive nose. But two years later, her nasal skin gradually thinned, the implant became visible, and the tip protruded due to an overly elevated bridge.
For her second revision at another facility, she was told she would undergo structural rhinoplasty. However, in reality, the surgeons only performed a simple Cartilage-Wrapped Rhinoplasty. Not long after, her nose developed a deviated bridge and an unstable columella.
Refusing to live with a failed result, she decided to try again. This time she researched more thoroughly and chose a more reputable address. But misfortune still followed. Even with structural rhinoplasty, the problems from her previous surgery were not corrected and actually worsened.
She continued to the fourth attempt. Despite three failures, she bravely tried again. This time she underwent rib cartilage structural rhinoplasty but still ended up with complications. After more than three hours under general anesthesia at a hospital and many days of careful aftercare, her nose developed a severe infection, forcing the implant to be removed. The nose then contracted, became shortened and upturned, and the surface turned uneven and bumpy, causing difficulty breathing.
